Drivers of International Migration

This report provides an overview of existing theoretical and empirical findings regarding the drivers of international migration and how they operate differently across contexts, interacting with each other.

The study of the migration drivers is intended as one of the elements of the formulation of FUME’s future international migration narratives and the basis for the evidence-based population projections.

The aim of the report is to support the formulation of better-informed migration scenarios through the integration of knowledge regarding the factors at micro, meso and macro levels that shape international migration processes.
